DAHIMO works through a method of applied historical–design research, developed in close dialogue with the commissioning body and grounded in a philological approach to historical sources.
The research begins with the study of texts, drawings, and the technical and environmental context, leading to the formulation of a hypothesis that is tested through design and the construction of a first prototype.
